What lab are you in? Are you sure your headset is working correctly? Does it work in another setting?

i hear sound but cant speak it is plugged in right place

Could it be that the audio in is not set correctly in preferences?

I have this too I have put the jacks into the correct ones ( trust me I know how to use it I always use Teamspeak and others ). The thing is everything is checked in the microphone and other audio settings I have tryed to fix it for a few hours now.

The weird thing is. I didn't even noticed it stopped working I was talking and suddenly it stopped.

I am having the same problem with the sennheisers. My mute button is checked on defualt and when I uncheck it the mic still will not work. Sound from the headset is great but the mic just won't work any solution's to this long standing problem?
