It sounds to me like he probably uses your account on your computer. If this is correct, I would secure your account with a password, and also set a screensaver password. In order to set a password for yourself, go to the control panel from your start menu. Then, go to "User accounts". Click on your name, then on "Create Password". Assuming there are no other accounts on the computer, this should essentially prevent your roomate from logging in to your computer if he turns it on. Next, to secure your computer if you have left it on, go to the "Display" icon in the control panel. Click on the screensaver tab. Then click on the "On resume, password protect" button and say OK.

If you'd like to actually LOG what he is doing on your computer, you may want to try this: http://www.omniquad.com/spy32.zip
It's a shareware program that monitors keystrokes, takes screenshots, and monitors all program activity. Be forewarned that this kind of software should NEVER be installed on a computer that you do not own or administer, it is, to my knowledge, illegal to do so.

And just in case you're on a Mac, you'd go to System Preferences>Accounts (under the System section) and hit the "+" button at the bottom left of the window.
