Quicktime 7 W/New Codec

Quictime 7 is out for MAC, and us Windows lovers can see it soon as well. What really interested me was their new H.264 codec. Check it out: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/technologies/h264/

H.264 is amazing. We watched some of the 1080p QuickTime trailers at the DMRC the other day......stunning quality.

Apple had a load of HD Trailers a while ago that worked with QT6. I am a little mad they took them down only to replace them with HD trailers for QT7 which I can no longer see :(

Unfortunately we can't upgrade to QT7 until apple decides to let us know what our new Pro codes will be, since going from 6.5 to 7 will invalidate your 'pro' standings. Honestly for $129 you think that at least 10.4 would ship with QT Pro.

Old post, I know, but that's the point. When is QT 7 coming out for Windows? I bought Pro, but it's just been the "public preview" for months! Anyone that's on those secret Mac admin forums have any idea? I'd love to know when my $30 actually goes towards something for ME, not just money in the bank for Apple.
Forgive me if I sound whiney, but I'm kinda new to the whole paying-for-software thing...

They have to drag it out just long enough for Windows users to know that they are now and will always be naught but a sideshow next to the Mac. I mean, there's already been an UPDATE for the Mac version.

i know the quicktime alternative 1.50 beta 1 has the quicktime 7 codecs in it :D

Well, the next time Apple releases a game, and you get to play it early on your PC, let me know. But since we were talking (a month ago) about Quicktime and Apple's delay on releasing a PC version, which still isn't out, I'll stick by my statement.

Actually Adam, QT7 is out on the PC as of the 12th..

I've been having issues with the QT7 PR for quite some time...the player is buggy on XP for whatever reason. I'll stick with 6.5 until they go to RTM.
