Does anyone know how to log onto UAWifi with the recent iPhone 2.0 firmware release?
I enter into settings and try to log in, it prompts me for my password (which im assuming is the NetID and password). Then it perpetually "logs in" and ultimately cant.
Is there a fix for this? Thanks!

Try turning off Push. I've seen this work on occasion. Also try in a different area.

I have tried several access points without success
student union
education bldg
UMC
BIO5
Alumni
:( I also even downloaded the iphone enterprise configuration utility to try to setup uawifi and vpn access with a configuration profile, which also didn't work.
I have not tried the disabling push option yet, but I guess that will be my next try. I would really like to connect to uawifi and setup the VPN access so I can use moca vnc.

That happened to me the first few times I tried logging in on my iPod touch with 2.0. Really, all it ended up being for me was a wait-and-see. I even stood under a hotspot, and it turned blue, and didn't get it. But it ended up working after someone else tried logging onto UAWifi with my iPod with their login info. It was really random, but ended up working.
I had Push enabled when I was connected. It just seems like its a waiting game.

I restored an iPod touch and it connected no problems after the restore (no you wont lose your 2.0 upgrade).
I also tried turning Push OFF with a friend who couldn't connect either... seemed kinda random but turning off push allowed it to connect. So thanks for the suggestion!!
So try either option. Either way, i selected to "Forget" the UA Public network.
Hope this can help.

We had some success yesterday with another method of connecting. Just keep trying 5 times in a row or so. Put in your username and password, hit join, and wait about 10 seconds or so. If it doesn't bring you to the certificate screen, abort, go back, and try again. The theory is that in order to keep the interface simple, Apple doesn't let you choose the authentication type, and just tries a different one each time you try to connect.

I'm trying to connect to UAWiFi with WPA2 Enterprise and I get "Incorrect username or password for "UAWiFi". I've added my MAC address to the DHCP list, what am I missing here?
BTW, the first time I tried to login, I got to the certificate page but it hung, then I decided that I needed to add my MAC address. Now I can't even get to the certificate page!
Any ideas?

You don't need to register the mac address for UAWiFi, but you do need to register your netid. Go to http://netid.arizona.edu/wireless_reg.php to register. Also try forgetting the network and re-adding it a few times. This has worked for me.

Ughhh. I have yet to have success. My netid password is strong enough to get me a 1 year lease on it, so its quite frustrating to enter 16 alpha numeric characters over and over again. I have yet to get past the waiting to join screen.
Can't UTIS make an enterprise profile with the iphone configuration utility and publish the profile for download? I tried to do this myself without success, but I really didn't know what I was doing.
I've tried all the solutions in this thread other than trying more than three times in a row.

What building are you trying to connect in?

I've tried multiple buildings both north and south of speedway. My office building doesn't have uawifi so I had to go elsewhere. Yesterday I finally had success at the union.
I had to "forget" UA Public, turn off Push, and try multiple times, but it did eventually get the certificate screen.
I've been following this thread for many months hoping for some change or new info that would help me connect my 1st generation iTouch to UAWiFi (UAPublic just wasn't cutting it because I needed VPN).
I upgraded to firmware 2.2.1 when it came out and went through the motions of joining. After the third join attempt, I was prompted to accept the certificate (for the first time ever!!!). I'm now happily connected to UAWiFi and connecting to my VPN of choice.

This has been bothering me for so long. I turned off push, and tried joining uawifi, and it didnt work, so i cancelled it and tried it again, and then i saw the certificate.
I turned on push after it joined, and it seems to be working fine.
I'm happy it finally worked and I dont have to hit accept every damn time I want to use the internet.
