So the bookstore sells some gateway computers with a Marvel Top Dog Draft-N wireless card. Unfortunately, the card comes with their turbo-n technology turned on by default, and it won't allow you to connect to very many networks. The fix for this is to disable the turbo-n and n mode.
Start Menu > Control Panel > System > Device Manger > expand network adapters > right click marvel top dog draft n wireless adapter > Advanced tab > On the list find anything referring to N mode or turbo N, highlight it and disable it in with the drop down menu. Try connecting again after that.
If you have any trouble or can't find the options come to the ILC room 136 and we can help.
