Unable to forward UA Webmail to new email address

Hi Oscr folks,

I am trying to set up my webmail to forward my mail to a new account.
I go to 'Filters'
Then to the 'Forward' rule
Enter my new email
Save changes
Then webmail gives me this error:
"Did not specify legal script data length"

Do you know what this means and how I can fix it?

Weird... couple of things I would try:

1. Try it on a different web browser (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc)
2. See if a different email address does work to forward to, maybe there is something strange about the address you're trying.
3. Go get a soda and try again later.

I don't have access to webmail error logs, so unfortunately I can't give much more specific help than that. Someone here should know who to get in touch with however, I'll poke around.

Good suggestions Mark.
There is also a UITS web page (http://ccit.web.arizona.edu/index.php?id=webmail) on using UA Webmail. If you can't get it working you can submit a trouble ticket by clicking the "Problem?" button on the toolbar in UA Webmail. You can also call 621-HELP M-F, 8-5.

This error "Did not specify legal script data length" usually means that you have too many existing filters. Try reducing or removing filters (usually your blocked list) then re-adding the forward and save.

Steven, you had it right. After removing some filters the forward rule now works. Thanks!
