Sometimes, if a corrupted email or attachment halts POP download in your email client, the best way to fix it is to log in to webmail and delete the email which seems to be halting POP download. This approach also works when you get a pesky email that won't delete from your email client when you are connecting using IMAP. When your email client fails, try using webmail to delete the pesky email message, then launch your email client and try again...
