Hello,

I just got my new HTC Mogul from sprint and when I try to connect it to UAPublic I get some issues. It will connect to the network and it will even give me the confirmation page to continue to the internet, but after visiting one or two pages the connection times out and it doesnt want to send any more packets either way. Should I come in one day to let you guys check it out or take another route? Either case let me know.

Thanks,

Andy Kislek

UA Public has become "rate-limited", among other restrictions. Some may include frequent drops from the network, my suggestion would be to come to the OSCR Underground and we can set you up with the UA Wifi, the secure wireless network on campus. We can also determine if there's another problem all together.

We're open Monday through Friday 9:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. with Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as Appointment Days; Tuesdays and Thursdays as Walk-In days (when you don't need an appointment). Feel free to give us a call at 626-TECH (8324) or 621-6727.

I dont think that the rate limiting would affect connectivity. Also I dont think my phone can do the enterprise WEP, but I will stop in and let you guys take a look.

If the Mogul supports PEAP authentication and WPA/WPA2, it should be able to connect. You might need to copy the Equifax certificate from an XP computer though.
