My "Wireless Network Connection" never shows anything to connect to, it just says:

So I always use my Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless to connect to UA Public. I figured I'd register for UAWiFi and use that instead of UA Public, but the windowssetup pdf from the UAWiFi page says to use the "Wireless Network Connection" to setup the configuration of UAWiFi. However, since no network connections show up when I open "Wireless Network Connection" I can't configure it. Can someone tell me how to do it with Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless instead?

Also, I can't seem to register, I log in with my netid and it says "Thank you for logging in, ." Every time I click Register or Log in it just goes to that screen.

To my understanding it can not be done with the Intel connect software. It must be done using the Windows Zero Config software that is built in to Windows because it needs to use a security certificate for UAWiFi. I would recommend calling 520-626-8324 to set up an appointment at the OSCR Underground. We can look at the system and better troubleshoot the problem from the Underground.

The message that Windows is giving you is due to the Intel wireless software taking control of the wireless in your computer and not allowing Zero Config to control it. You could try to remove the Intel software (but leave the driver) and then Windows should be able to take control of the wireless configuration from there.

I disabled the Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless and like you said the networks showed up on the "Wireless Network Connection," so I followed the steps shown in the PDF up until the last step, where a box should pop up. The box did not pop up, so I manually opened the connections and tried to connect to UAWiFi so I could type in my Net ID and Password, and a box pops up that says "Please wait while windows connects to the UAWiFi network." It just sits there with the little green bar going by for about two minutes then the box just disappears and I'm still not connected. And I still can't seem to register on these forums.

The box won't immediately popup, you have to give it about 30 seconds to a minute to talk to UAWiFi. If you hold your cursor over the wireless icon, it should say something about trying to authenticate with UAWiFi. If for some reason it still does not pop up, recheck your settings, especially the spelling of UAWiFi because the correct capital letters are required. Then after you have done that, right click on the wireless icon in your task tray and hit "repair". Give it about a minute or two and then the login box should pop up. If it doesn't, then I would give us a call at the Underground and set up an appointment.

Hmm, I got the box to appear, put in my net ID, and it now says connected to UAWiFi, I also got it to connect to UAWiFi with my Intel, but whenever im connected on either of them my internet doesn't work. I have to disconnect for my local area connection to even work. I will call tomorrow to set up an appointment.
