Hi,
I just registered my MAC address & used my UA NetID to register for UA wireless. Whenever I try to connect to the unsecured wireless networks in my building, it says "limited or no connectivity". There are 4 bars, and also, a friend of mine was able to get a pretty fast connection on the same networks with her laptops.
Does this mean that I did something wrong when I tried to register my MAC address? I put a colon between each pair of characters/digits when I entered it, because that's what I saw on the ccit website (though my computer--running XP / DOS uses hyphens between the pairs). Does that matter?
Since it already said that I successfully registered for UA wireless after I put in my NetID, is there something more I need to do? (Note: I put in my net id using a different computer, since I seem to not be close enough to UA public network here in the speech building. Or for some reason it's not on the list of networks.)
I use wireless all the time at home. My computer is only a couple of years old, an HP & it runs XP.
Please let me know if there's something more I need to do to use UA wireless.
Thanks a million-
Erin
