How would I do this in dreamweaver 8, or html in general:
I wanted it so that people could type in a link using a form, then press a sumbit button, and the link would show up on the site, as well as a "rate it" button.

What you want sounds a lot like a forum, like this one. There are many prebuilt forum packages, some open-source and free, and some commercial. This forum runs on vBulletin.

You are describing a dynamic web site, one where the content changes based on some user action. To do this yourself you will need to do a lot of work. One way would be to use PHP for server side logic and MySQL to store the dynamic content. Explaining exactly how is beyond the scope of a forum thread. If you are a UA student I recommend checking out UACBT (http://www.uacbt.arizona.edu), an online training site with lessons on Java, PHP, HTML and more. You can also register for one of OSCR's web development workshops (http://www.oscr.arizona.edu/workshops). Good luck!

Hello, all...

If someone could help me, I'd be MOST grateful.

I've had DW MX 2004 installed for quite awhile. Suddenly, a few weeks ago, I started getting a message upon trying to save a page I'd built...the html pages.

If someone would write me, I'd send them a screen capture with the error. I'm desperate, I just don't know what to do.

I've reinstalled fresh off the disc 2 or 3 times to diff. hard drives but problem still persists.

Email me at horse@310enterprises.com Please?

Thank you....
Carolyn
