I just ordered some wireless headphones from Harriet Carter and they are not working right. When I try and plug in the reciever into the TV no sound comes out from the headphones. Maybe I plugged it into the wrong place?

The directions tell me to insert the emitter audio cable into the AUDIO-OUT socket of the electrical device or earphone.

The trouble I think I'm having, is that I don't think I have an Audio-Out socket on my TV. Is there a difference between which one is in and out? My TV doesn't have the words In or Out. Where do I find the Audio-Out socket? Is it the same as where my DVD player plugs in or what?

Please help.

Try hooking them up to a CD player or an ipod/laptop/etc. If it works with those, you know you have a good set of headphones. Your TV may or may not have a mini-out jack. What model is it?

I have a Symphonic TV. If you need the model # then tell me.

Yeah, the model number would be useful.

There's a good chance that your TV doesn't have an audio out - most TVs don't. If your TV only has one set of AV jacks (that is to say, there is only one set of the red/yellow/white plugs), then those jacks are "input" jacks (for things like your DVD player), and they won't "output" sound.

The model # is: WF2702

If it is so that I don't have an output jack or whatever. Then why put that on the box. If most TV's don't have them, then how can you use them? Can it plug into my DVD player or VCR? Is there an adapter or something you can buy?

Hmm, I couldn't find any relevant information on that particular model - if you have RCA ports marked as "out" you could try getting a
male RCA\
|----female mini
male RCA/
type connector, then plug your adapter into that.
