Hi all,
I'm running Cubase SE 3 on a very modest setup (Dell laptop w/ 512megs of RAM using an M-Audio Fastrack USB for sound, OS = XP pro) and have noticed big latency issues when trying to play VST instruments (ie Battery 3) in real time via a midi controller (M-Audio Trigger Finger). I've tried changing the buffer size on the soundcard to no avail. When I open Battery 3 in stand alone mode, there don't appear to be any latency issues, however all VSTs (even the crappy Universal Sound Module) have significant latency that make them impossible to play in Cubase. Any ideas? Could this possibly be a problem with outdated USB ports on my comp? A system req problem?
