Sophos 4.14 (and earlier) for all platforms is being discontinued on February 28. Also being retired is Sophos Auto update for Windows. This is important, since users will no longer be able to update those versions of Sophos, which will cause them to be quarantined by NAC.
Fortunately, the fix is simple. First, uninstall the old version of Sophos. Then, go to http://sitelicense.arizona.edu/sophos/ to download the latest version. Be sure to read the instructions on how to set-up the UofA version of Sophos to update it's virus definitions. A set-up guide can be found here: https://sitelicense.arizona.edu/sophos/sophos_install.html
The version found on sitelicense.arizona.edu supports Windows Vista. However, there is now current Sophos client for Mac OS 9, so Mac users wishing to use Sophos would need to update to Mac OS X.
