I heard from someone that you can get the UA Wifi as far out as Elm and Euclid if you set up your computer right. Anyone know if this is true, and how I could do that?

This site has a map of the areas of campus with UAWifi coverage thus far. I'm horrible with locations and don't know quite where Elm and Euclid is, but if the area you are in is currently green on the map, you will be able to access UAWifi.

As far as getting set up with UAWifi, this page - http://oscr.arizona.edu/wireless - should have all the information you need to set up your computer to access UAWifi. Should you need additional help in getting set up, all OSCR labs are equipped with people ready to help.

You won't get it at Elm & Euclid, that is way too far from any university building. If you see something there called UAWiFi, it's someone spoofing and trying to fake the real thing...don't connect to it.

you could get a wireless range extender (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=267) and a parabolic antenna (http://www.freeantennas.com/projects/template2/), but Dan's right, too far from campus.
