I am connected to the UA network from my dorm. I log in by entering my UAID and password then it takes me to the UA homepage like always, however when I try and visit cnn.com or any website not on the UA network it just sends me to the UA homepage. I cannot access webmail or studentlink either. When I try and login to D2L it says that the webath. website timed out. I just want to get online!

It sounds as though you've been blocked by the NAC.
Contact the OSCR Underground at 626-TECH to set up an appointment to get your machine diagnosed.
Make sure you have all the windows updates downloaded, as well as up-to-date virus and firewall software. If you do not have AV software, you can download Sophos from http://sitelicense.arizona.edu. Make sure that you follow the directions on the website to select the correct update server for your copy of Sophos. If you do not have discreet firewall software, you can use the windows firewall.
You will be able to access only pages within the University network, and the windows update site while blacklisted on the NAC.

Thank you for the suggestions. I updated my sophos (it is set to update every 24 hours) and tried to go to Windows Update (which is set to automatic) but it wouldn't let me and gave me this error message: "The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view." Again I want to emphasis that nothing has changed on my computer from a week ago when I was online or last sememster when I was online; everything is properly installed and set to autoupdate. I'm going into one of the OSCR rooms tomorrow.

C'mon down to OSCR Underground in the ILC between 9 and 4. Someone can definitely take a look for you.
