PS2 Online Gaming - FFXI

I registered my MAC address on my DHCP Registration. I came across two problems:

1) I couldn't connect and begin the game.
2) If I ever manage to connect somehow, there seems to be a "connection or ping check" by the UofA that forces me to try and connect again. To which I may (if successful, approx. 15 mins of connection denial), or may not.

Why does that occur?

You cannot play video games over the U of A network. They're blocking your access.

This is covered in the acceptable use policy you agreed to when you registered your MAC address.
