The next update of Parallels Virtual Desktop will have a bevvy of great features.
The most important will probably be that, if you've installed Boot Camp, you can mount the Boot-Camped-partition as a virtual hard drive and boot to it from within Parallels - so you can have just one Windows installation and a choice of running it inside Parallels, or rebooting to get the full performance.
Other big features will be "seamless drag-and-drop" between OS X and virtualized Windows, resizing of the VM's window just as if it were any other OS X app (the resolution of the VM will auto-adjust), graphic and networking improvements, and a tool to migrate your VirtualPC and VMWare images for use in Parallels.
VMWare's OS X product better be mindblowing if it is going to convince Parallels's customers to switch.
