Problems With Microphone

I saw thread with problem like mine but i not sure! Thats because i create this Thread. Before this problem my microphone work properly and one day my microphone start doesn't work. If i speak very very loud it's possible to hear (when i recording sound) When i try speak using Skype nobody hear me! When i try plug in mic into Line in jack and change recording settings to stereo mix people hear me but very low! I have test a lot of headphones with mic and web cams! Can somebody help me with this problem? Maybe my drivers a old but i can't find latest drivers.

Is it a USB headset?

No its not usb.
My mic is don't working not only on skype. I can't record.

could possibly be a bad input on your sound card. or your mic could have stopped working or possibly a loose wire. not much to try other than borrowing a mic and see if it works on your PC or take your mic to a friend's PC and see if it works there. good luck

Hi guys.
i have exactly the same problem! i'm using a very new brand Dell laptop and a also new brand headset. it just stoped working! before that, it use to open a window asking for microphone or something else that i don't remeber what when i put the mic into the computer. it's not a USB.
I have already tried this headset in other computer and it works properly.
i also have tried all the sistem's volume and configuration. and have seen if isn't there any kind of conflict between skype and msn messenger.. but didn't find anything!

Please guys, help us! :D
