Hello Friends, sound recorder problem,please help

Hello Dear Friends,

Thankyou for providing this forum.
May I seek your guidance on this problem that occured after I installed the demo version of PVR(Pocket voice recorder).After that my sound recorder stopped working, after a trial of about two weeks. The microphone has been tested on another computer and has been found to be ok.
My PC is Windows XP, 256 MB ram.

Hello Josh, thankyou for replying.Yes, I did uninstall it. But when I run msconfig, pvr is still there with a checkbox.

Well, first disable PVR in msconfig, then go check your sound properties, make sure your default playback device is set to your real sound card, go to programs>accessories>entertainment>volume control, and look at your mixer device in properties. It should be your sound card.

I followed your instructions.But in Entertainment, there was no volume control.So now am in a fix.

Look at c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe - it should be there.
