Hello everyone,
Wednesday at 6:00 am all OSCR lab locations will have their wireless change from UAWireless to UAWiFi. For anyone that wasn't at Staff Days and don't know what these are, UAWiFi is a new, faster, more secure wireless network that will be rolling out to most of campus over the next year or so. The change in wireless networks will not affect wired connections, including lab workstations, of course, but it will impact any clients who come in with laptops and want to use wireless connections. Lab staff may also see an influx of clients coming in to the lab to get help connecting to the new UAWiFi network.
UAWiFi requires a NetID registration and some set-up, since it is a secure network for UA people only. A pdf with instructions is available at oscr.arizona.edu/wireless (http://oscr.arizona.edu/wireless), along with more information and links. The set-up should be under 5 minutes on a Windows machine and even shorter on a Mac. Please call me if you encounter problems while assisting clients, especially for the first week or so of the change over. Also, feel free to email or call me with any other questions you might have.

Hey Josh...its is about 9:50 PM here 11/01 at the AME Multimedia Classroom, and my wireless is only detecting "UAWireless" and "Multimedia Classroom - AME S314" I don't see UAWiFi or UAPublic.

Looks like the AP is dead. I'll get that confirmed and reported to the people who'll get it fixed.
