i have no sound at all!!!

I was going onto the pc one day and the sound would not play on anything. Just a couple of days before i had sound and just after this, my computer went funny and said it had a hardware prob. I restored defaults and i turned on- without sound. i looked in dxdiag and it says no soundcard was detected and i looked on device manager thing and i have a exclamation mark next to all of the sound ones. i click on them and it says error 31 the driver failed to load or something or other . PLease help!

Sounds like your drivers were corrupted. Download and install the new drivers for your system. To look the drivers, look up the model of computer (or motherboard/soundcard) you have and go to the manufacturer's page.
