View Full Version : Policy Key: NU#007 vs NU#008

So, im over here in skyview apartments, using the U's internet, and I got a little problem..

My computer has the policy key software installed, all the relative antivirus protection, and updates enabled and updated. However, I still get either error #007 or #008.

Its fine when #007 comes on, because it simply says I do not have automatic uptades enabled (which i do) and I have untill september 11th to fix it. The internet still works though.

However, when I get the #008 it suspends me untill I get the "issue resolved." And, the internet does not work. Usually withing 10-24 hours, the internet works again though. Its still kind of an annoyance though to have to deal with that.

Any advice/ explinations for whats going on? My roomates also have the same problem, and their computers are up to date also.

Are you running any sort of router (wired or wireless)? We often see this problem with people who are using an improperly-configured router.

I suggest calling 626-8324 first thing Monday morning. We can use your NetID to determine the specific reason you were blocked.
