desktop resolution changes when i open .pdf's

when ever i open a .pdf, my resolution will change. Im running dual, 19" widescreens, my resolution is 2880x900, but when i open a .pdf, one screen will go black and the other changes its resolution to around 800x600 or maybe even smaller

What PDF viewer are you using? Adobe Acrobat Reader is at version 7.0.8.

Do you also have the latest video card drivers?

yeah im using version 7,and i just updated my gfx card 3 days ago. which is a Nvidia 6800 GS

That's... Odd. I've never heard of such a thing. Have you only tried it in Adobe? Try it in Foxit reader - http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php - if you're still having the problem in a different reader, then it's the pdf that's a little funny.

well just afetr i installed it, ifigured it out, I opend up the properties on the Adobe icon and i had open in 640x 480 res. on. sorry for the inconvience guys
