hello, just recently i have tried to load the Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 on my computer(SP 2 version) when my computer locked up on me. I ended up shutting my computer manually with the installation incomplete. when my computer has rebooted, everything was fine except that when i try to open IE the window comes up for a second and flashes off. I've tried starting over the installation, but it still doesnt work. If somebody can try and help me out i'd appreciate it alot. Thank You
Are you simply trying to restore your ability to use Internet Explorer to get on the internet, or are you dead set on using IE7?
If you're simply trying to restore your ability to use IE, I'd go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore, and restore your computer to a restore point prior to your install.
If you really want to try IE7, then I'd do a system restore and try reinstalling the IE7 beta.

thank you for your suggestions but when i try using the system restore, the message "Restoration Incomplete: Your computer cannot be restored to *date* No Changes have been made to your computer." comes up after the computer restarts. I've had similar problems with my Windows Firewall which i found how to fix it on this same forum, but after my IE stop working, my firewall began to stop working again. So anyways, when the computer is about to restart to load up the system restore point, i hear the sound that comes along with one of the error messages, but no message comes up and the computer immediately begins to reboot itself. Do you have any advice that may help in fixing this problem? thank you
