I can never remember what it is, and where I can find it but I know whether one is off or on campus the outgoing email address (when using apple mail, outlook, etc...) changes. Since it is summer I will now be off campus for a while and I was wondeirng what again were the outgoing server settings?
Thank you,
TM
Sorry I could not figure out where else to post this... If there is a email forum I will be happy to repost if needed...

You're asking about the SMTP, POP3 and IMAP settings, right? If your ISP is Cox, you need to use Cox's outgoing SMTP gate, but can use the UofA's IMAP or POP3 gates.
Here is CCIT's information page on the subject: http://www.ccit.arizona.edu/help/email/coxemail.html
If you're using a different ISP, you should be able to use the same settings as you do on campus.

West Coast: smtp.west.cox.net
East Coast: smtp.east.cox.net
& I'm not sure if there is a central, north or south.

Hey I have both my Comcast account and my Arizona account setup through Entourage. And since I moved off campus this week I can no longer send out emails but can only receive them.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I think Comcast is doing the same as Cox and is blocking outgoing mail connections in an attempt to slow the spread of email-borne bugs. Here's a page describing the issue for Cox: http://computing.arizona.edu/help/email/coxemail.html . You just have to use Comcast's SMTP server instead of the U's.

Im kinda having the same problem with mac mail. It says it can't find server on port 25 or something like that? Is this the problem that Cox was having as well?

It's not a problem, per-se, Cox, Comcast, and a bunch of other ISPs has decided to block port 25 connections to easy the flow of viral email. So you'll have to use your ISP's outgoing email servers instead of the U's.
