I would suggest going to http://hijackthis.de/ You can submit your logfile there and it will give you descriptions of most items as well as an indication of whether or not they should be deleted. You can Google anything that it doesn't cover. Additionally, if you are associated with the U of A, you can call us for an appointment at 520-626-8324 and we would be happy to go through the log with you step by step.

Exercise extreme caution when modifying registry entries. It is very easy to delete an important entry; this can lead to crashes, irregular behavior, and data loss.

I suggest backing up files before you make registry changes.

Matt's suggestion is a great one too, especially if you don't recognize a lot of your Hijackthis log file entries.

What exactly is the problem you're looking to fix? Is your system slow? Do you think you have a virus/spyware problem? Or are you just looking to do a system "tune up?"
