Scrolling in Firefox

When trying to scroll down/up in Firefox, using the scroll section in the mouse/panel (I am using a laptop), it simply does not work. However, it works perfectly in IE. What's the problem?

If it's a synaptics touchpad, try using the latest drivers direct from synaptics - http://www.synaptics.com/support/drive.cfm
