I bought a headset with microphone yesterday. When I use the audio feature in MSN messenger, I can hear the other person talking to me, but she can't hear me talking. I've checked to make sure the mike is activated, I've tried all kinds of things to no avail. Anyone know what else to do? Please? I'm begging? :(

It could be any of several problems.
I am assuming that you are talking about your personal computer and not one in our labs. And I will assume that you are running Windows XP.
Did you try going to the "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties"? That's where I would start.
Go to:
Start -> Control Panel -> (Classic View) Sounds and Audio Devices -> Audio Tab and Voice Tab
Make sure that your default audio device is the one you want to use and make sure that the volume is turned up and not muted.
That is a start at least.

Hmmm, well first does it register any audio coming in into your computer?
You can easily test this by using windows XP sound recording prog and jus closing the program first.
You can also gauge if the volume is too low or too high on your mic as well.
If you have sound coming into the comp and it is being recorded then it is possibly something with MSN. Have you tried using the Audio and Video Tuning Wizard built into Messegner? I't under tools.
OKay, Well hope that lil bit of info helps.:coffee:
