My safari browser opens and works fine, but it will not let me X out the windows, so none of the windows i use or that popup will close until i exit the entire program. Has anyone heard of this happening to other MACs and if so, how can I fix it?

Step one: what version of the Mac OS are you running? Go to the apple menu and run software update to see if there are any updates waiting for you.

I ran a search on this problem and a lot of people say running the update fixes things. After that I would repair the permissions to see if that does anything. If you need me to describe in further detail how to do these things, just post again and I'll give you further detail.

Yeah I did all of that already, first the program wouldnt even start but after doing all that the program starts and runs. So after doing all that im stuck with the same problem of not being able to close the windows unless i quit the program.
