I have a pc that will not let a full install of either window or linux to occur; it fails about 2/3 of the way into copying files. I have tried it with two hard drives, so i am sure thats not the problem. I also ran spinrite on each of the disks and came up with no errors. I am not sure where to go from here but i dont want to start buying new hardwear with out knwoing where the problem lies. and there is no OS currently loaded.

If the hard drives are fine, then it could be an issue with your motherboard (specifically, the disc controller). Without more information on your setup, that's really the only thing I can offer in the way of assistance.

You're welcome to call 626-8324 to schedule an appointment with one of us. We'd be glad to troubleshoot the problem with you.

Try putting your optical drive on a different channel, Chan 2 Master for instance. Else, do you have another optical drive you can try?

How much does it cost for you to help troubleshoot the problem? And what other services are offered? This is my first time using the OSCR as a resource. Thanks.
