Very Spiffy. I'd watch the beginning until the "largish-accented man" stops talking, and then fastfoward to the end with the mustache dude.
XPS = Teh Rock, as does XML. Haha.
Also, the new implementation of how colors work on your monitor and actually print out is very cool.
I don't see how people can continue to bash Vista/Windows/Longhorn. No one said Vista was Revolution, just evolution. And it is moving nicely along. Yes windows has always been slow to catch up to some of its competitors in certain areas, but when they do, they usually do it in class. Not saying I am going to buy it once it comes out though :D. I'll wait until I read XX amount of reviews and wait a year.

I've got the 5259 build running on one of my machines right now. It doesn't have that new "Restart Manager" they've been bragging about. Each build seems to get a little better. So far, I'm starting to think it isn't "XP with eye candy".

Did you watch that movie? I never thought it was just a flimsy upgrade. SURE the graphical end looks a little better, but its whats under the hood that counts. Can't wait to see Beta 2.

Uh, Beta 2 isn't scheduled until 2006. Any build that is currently out is Still Beta 1, just a new CTP of it. In any case, how do you have the newest build? Are you seriously paying for a MSDN subscription. I would love for OSCR to get one. What joy we Tech-"Nerds" could have.

Much Like Linux, MS has opted to move the UI to User mode to improve stability and decrease system crashes. It would be very interesting to see 3rd party developers attempt to create new UI's for windows. Though I am sure they'll have to pull some sort of hack it'd still be interesting.
Anywho, here is the article:

There is a program that does per-application volume control under Windows XP, similar to the way Windows Vista does

Who knows. There is conflicting information; some sources at Microsoft claim that it will be out sometime in late 2006, whereas other groups in Microsoft claim that there is no way it'll debut on time.

^ Good site to keep track of where Vista is at.
The last official word is that the consumer version is delayed until 2007, but the corporate version will be available Q4 2006.
