I have a picture of Jenna Jameson from Penthouse.com. How do I put that as my desktop background?
Thanks,
Becky P.
Hello Becky,
If it is a picture from the internet that you want to set as your wallpaper, then right click on the picture and select "Set as wallpaper.."
If the picture is saved on your computer, then go to "Control Panel", click on "Appearance and Themes" (if in Category view), click on "Display", then under the Desktop tab, click on browse, and open the picture, and hit "OK"
Hope this helps.

A desktop background needs to be a picture file type, I.E. jpeg, tiff, gif, bmp. Microsoft word saves to document or text type I.E. doc, docx, txt rtf. You would need to copy and paste the design into a photo editing program like mspaint, photoshop, gimp, etc. Then save the picture and you could use that.

if you have the full office suite, try opening your word .doc with Microsoft Pulisher. You can then save your file (choose file --> save as) as a .jpg file. It won't be the 'prettiest' (it might have more white space than you want, but should be the simplest way for you.
I would recommend Gimp (http://gimp.org/downloads/) highly. It does have a little bit of a learning curve, but I use it heavily and find more features every day! Some new tips I found out...
if you have Gimp open, drag your photo to the gimp bar, and it opens the photo for you.
if you want to make a collage, open the first photo, then drag the remaining photos onto the original one.
If you're not familiar with layers, I suggest looking into that as well. Layers allow you to work with multiple images/text/etc, and once learned will become very useful. good luck!
